The Renewable Energy Installer Academy (REIA) was a pilot project funded under the INTERREG programme as a joint initiative between Action Renewables in Northern Ireland and Sustainable Energy Ireland in the Republic of Ireland. The project was developed in response to the recognition that a lack of trained installers and specifiers was one of the critical barriers to the development of a sustainable renewable energy market. FOREST programme – biomass partnerships training day
The free, one–day event provides several in-depth presentations on the tools and guides developed by the FOREST programme, including the FOREST website, online training tool and community/partner/supplier search, and input from eminent individuals within the woodfuel supply chain. There will be networking and an afternoon visit to a local pellet boiler installation.

 | Ignite Wood Fuel Training
Ignite is the UK's only programme of accredited woodfuel supply chain training. Developed by Rural Development Initiatives Ltd., a not for profit company, since 2004 Ignite courses have been attended by over 850 trainees across the UK. Courses are delivered by RDI in conjunction with a variety of organisations and are designed specifically for those involved in the woodfuel supply chain including contractors, managers, owners and advisors. Courses include a mix of presentations, exercises and field trips to ensure trainees take away practical information they can use in their day to day work. All trainees receive a workbook, resources CD and free unlimited post course mentoring (e-mail/telephone).
